If I start to consider myself to be better than other Christians, the warning bells start ringing in my head. Any thoughts which lead to self-glorification of any kind stem from an attitude of pride and can easily become a dangerous trap. |

Just as God watches over the world and every small creature in it, we know from scripture that every Word of God will accomplish every purpose for which it was intended. It will do so in your life and in my life and every other person that ever was. |
Most of us know what we ought to be doing to maintain a healthy spiritual life. Prayer, feeding on The Word of God and confession of who we are in Christ are all vital. Whether we actually do these things is another matter. |
Solomon really was a man who knew what it was like to have it all, so it's easy to understand that we are surprised when we read some of the words Solomon wrote towards the end of his life, after his greatest achievements on earth had come and gone. |
When we encounter Christ and we see and feel the transforming love of Christ at work in our lives, our natural response is to tell everyone about it. We want to share this most incredible of gifts with the world, but often we are not yet ready to do so. |
If we look closely at the New Testament, the times when Jesus was amazed was whenever it was concerning our faith. Either a prevalent lack of faith or a display of exceptional faith by someone amazed The Lord. |
