Weekly Reading - God Is Love
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

I've been thinking about the wonder of God's love for us. It amazes me that no matter what I may be going through, no matter how many wrong turns I take, there is one thing that remains sure. His love.
I know that no matter what I have done, where I have been, His love can and will never be taken away, it covers me completely.

We all have things in our lives that we regret. You may be going through something now and you are thinking "There is no way that God can possibly still love me after that". The truth is, we are all wretched sinners, and we have all fallen desperately short of His mercy and His grace. Selfish in nature, there is nothing in us that deserves the mercy He so freely gives, and yet, through it all He is faithful and His love continues to cover us all and everything we have done.

On the highest mountain, His love finds us there; in the darkest valley, still His love will find us there. No matter our circumstances and no matter our frailty. None of these things matter in the wonder of His compassion and His grace, His love is real, His love is sure, it will never leave us and it will never dissappoint us, niether will it tarnish nor fade. He gave us Jesus that we, through this loving sacrifice, can be brought into His presence and be called children of God. Nothing can ever seperate us from that truth.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,  nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

So be encouraged, God knows you better than you know yourself and still His love continues.

Praise God that His love is everlasting.

You will show me the path of life;
         In Your presence is fullness of joy;
         At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11
