| Salvation Prayer |
|
| If you are ready to give your life to Christ and accept Him as your personal saviour, you could pray something along these lines. Please note that this prayer is only a guide. |
Jesus said; "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent
me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
(John 5:24)
If you are reading this now, you have probably come to realise your need for Jesus Christ, this is certainly the most important decision you will ever make. Man is incapable of saving himself. When sin entered the world, it separated man from God and so, we are all lost in our sins and are thus condemned to face God on the day of judgement.
But God in His great love and mercy, satisfied His holy requirement for justice in the perfect sacrifice
of His son, Jesus, who bore the sins of the entire world, suffering the wrath of God in our place.
This is the perfect and precious gift of God. The free gift of salvation.
The bible says; "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men
by which we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)
If you want to accept this perfect gift from God and enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ right
now, all you have to do is ask Him. The way Christians communicate with God is through prayer.
Your prayer to Christ is your own and should be spoken from the heart, confessing your need for Jesus and
your desire to be saved from your sins.
The bible says; "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify
us from all unrighteousness."
(1 John 1:9)
If you are unfamiliar with prayer or you don't know how to pray, you could pray something like this;
Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner,
lost and dead in my sins.
I believe with all my heart that Jesus died on the cross
and rose again to save me from my sins.
I believe that He shed His blood and paid my penalty.
I know that it is only by your grace that I may be saved.
I confess my sins (name them) and repent of them,
asking for forgiveness in the precious name of Jesus.
I accept and invite Jesus into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour
Thank you for this wonderful gift.
Please understand that the above prayer is only a guideline. These are not magic words and more importantly than anything you could say, it is the thoughts and intentions of the heart that God looks at.
(Hebrews 4:12)
If you have prayed, repenting (turning away) from your sins with all your heart and asked Jesus
into your life, believing that He died for your sins on the cross, then you have become a child
of God. You are a Christian and the bible says that you have "passed from death to life".

Don't pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees.
